Seryn is the public brand for Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor, which provides Center Click and operates this website.

Privacy Policy

Center Click processes trackpad gestures locally on your Mac. The app contains no advertising, tracking, analytics, or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not transmit gesture data, keystrokes, or screen contents.

Accessibility permission

Center Click asks for macOS Accessibility permission so it can post one middle click after it recognizes your configured gesture. Without this permission, the app cannot perform the feature.

Center Click does not inspect the accessibility trees of other apps, read on-screen text, log keystrokes, or record gesture contents.

Trackpad framework

Center Click uses Apple's private MultitouchSupport framework to receive trackpad contact frames. Apple does not document this framework for third-party apps and may change or remove it in a future macOS release. The app processes those frames locally and uses them only to recognize the configured gesture.

Settings (UserDefaults)

Center Click stores your preferences (gesture enabled/disabled, finger count, and menu bar icon visibility) locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults. Launch-at-login is managed by macOS through SMAppService. These settings never leave your Mac.

Local diagnostics

Center Click writes local macOS diagnostic log entries for app lifecycle events, permission state changes, settings changes, and click-synthesis failures. These logs are stored by macOS on your device and are used for debugging; they do not contain keystrokes, screen contents, or gesture contents.

Crash and usage data

Center Click itself contains no analytics or crash-reporting code. If you have opted into sharing analytics and improvements with developers in macOS System Settings, Apple may provide us crash and usage reports in anonymized or aggregated form, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Download data

Center Click is a free direct download. There is no checkout, payment account, license key, receipt, or refund transaction. The website host may keep the normal request logs needed to deliver and protect the download.

Support form

Choosing Support in Center Click opens the unparameterized address https://tally.so/r/dW4ERD in your default browser. The app does not automatically add its version, build, your macOS version, an identifier, or other query data.

When the form loads, Tally receives ordinary web-request data from your browser. If you submit it, Tally and Seryn also receive the information you choose to provide. Required fields are the support category, a short summary, and a description of what you were trying to do. Optional fields include your email address, importance, app version, macOS version, reproduction steps, setup context, and a screenshot or log file. Do not include information that is not needed to resolve your request.

Support data use and retention

Seryn uses support submissions only to answer, troubleshoot, improve, and document support for Center Click. Seryn keeps a submission only while it is needed for those purposes, then deletes it. Tally stores submitted responses and uploads for the form owner until they are deleted or the form or account is deleted. Tally says deleted submissions and uploads may remain in Trash for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

You may request access to or deletion of a support submission through Center Click Support. Include enough information to identify the submission, such as the email address you used and its approximate date.

Acknowledgement

These terms are between you and Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor. By using Center Click or accessing this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use Center Click or this site.

Free Direct Distribution

Center Click is distributed free of charge from seryn.dev. No purchase or refund applies. You may download and use the app for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Center Click is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor makes no warranty about the completeness, security, reliability, quality, accuracy, or availability of Center Click. This does not affect any warranties that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Limitations

Center Click depends on Apple's private MultitouchSupport framework, which may change or stop working after a macOS update. Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor does not guarantee that Center Click will work on every Mac or every version of macOS. In no event shall Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption) arising from the use or inability to use Center Click, even if Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor has been advised of the possibility of such damage.

Prohibited Uses

Use Center Click only for lawful purposes. You may not use Center Click to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Interfere with anyone else's use of the app.
• Disable, overburden, damage, or impair the app or website.

Feedback

You may send feedback about errors, suggestions, ideas, problems, or complaints through Center Click Support ("Feedback"). You agree that:

• You will not claim any intellectual property rights in the Feedback.
• Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor may already have similar development ideas.
• The Feedback does not contain confidential or proprietary information from you or any third party.
• Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor has no obligation to keep the Feedback confidential.

Revisions

Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor may revise these terms at any time without notice. If you continue to use Center Click or this website after changes take effect, you agree to the revised terms.
