Seryn is the public brand for Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor, which provides Marzin and operates this website.

Privacy Policy

Marzin keeps what you copy and jot at the edge of your Mac.

What is captured: clipboard text, images, and the notes you write. Items marked sensitive by the source app (password fields, one-time-code generators, and other concealed or transient content) are never captured.

What is stored: your parked items in a local database on your Mac. Item bodies are encrypted at rest. Local search indexes, including Core Spotlight when enabled, are stored in plaintext on your Mac so search works.

What is pasted: text clips paste as plain text. Image and file clips paste in their native formats.

What is synced: Off by default. Pro can sync eligible clipboard text, images, and notes through your private iCloud database. Finder file cards, bookmarks, snippets, and items excluded for privacy stay on this Mac. Marzin adds no separate end-to-end encryption layer.

What is exported: everything, on demand, in standard formats, in one click.

What Marzin does not do: Marzin asks for no permissions to run its core features. It has no remote kill switch and cannot change its behavior on an installed Mac without an update from the Mac App Store. It never sends content to Marzin or third-party servers. When you turn on iCloud sync, eligible content is sent only to Apple's iCloud service.

Retention, deletion, and sync consent

Marzin keeps parked items until you delete them or, with Pro, choose a shorter retention period. Deleted items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days before permanent purge. Pinned items do not expire.

To stop future iCloud transfers, choose Local in Settings > Sync. Local items remain on this Mac. Choosing Local does not erase copies already in your private iCloud database. To remove a synced item, delete it while iCloud sync is enabled and let sync finish; the item follows the same 30-day Recently Deleted period before purge. Marzin cannot access or delete your private iCloud data on your behalf.

Exports and backups are files you control outside Marzin. Delete them in Finder when you no longer want them.

App Privacy

The Marzin app's App Store privacy answer is Data Not Collected: no tracking, no collected data types, no advertising identifiers.

Support form

Opening the support and feedback form loads Tally in an iframe. Tally receives request metadata plus source fields. If you submit it, Tally and Seryn receive the information you provide and any file you upload.

To request deletion of feedback submitted through Tally, contact Seryn support and provide enough information to identify the submission.

Crash and usage data

Marzin contains no analytics or crash-reporting code. If you have opted into sharing analytics and improvements with developers in macOS System Settings, Apple may provide us crash and usage reports in anonymized or aggregated form, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchase data

Marzin is available through the Mac App Store, where Apple handles payment processing, receipts, purchase history, and refunds. Marzin does not receive your payment card number.

Acknowledgement

These terms are between you and Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor. By using Marzin or accessing this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use Marzin or this site.

Mac App Store Purchases and Refunds

Marzin is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple handles checkout, payment processing, taxes, receipts, purchase history, redownloads, and refund decisions under Apple's applicable App Store terms. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor cannot approve, issue, or reverse Mac App Store refunds.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Marzin is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor makes no warranty about the completeness, security, reliability, quality, accuracy, or availability of Marzin. This does not affect any warranties that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Limitations

Marzin uses public Apple frameworks and system APIs. Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor does not guarantee that Marzin will work on every Mac or every version of macOS. In no event shall Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor be liable for any damages, including without limitation loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from the use or inability to use Marzin, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

Prohibited Uses

Use Marzin only for lawful purposes. You may not use Marzin to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Interfere with anyone else's use of the app.
• Disable, overburden, damage, or impair the app or website.

Feedback

You may send feedback about errors, suggestions, ideas, problems, or complaints through Seryn support ("Feedback"). You agree that:

• You will not claim any intellectual property rights in the Feedback.
• Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor may already have similar development ideas.
• The Feedback does not contain confidential or proprietary information from you or any third party.
• Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor has no obligation to keep the Feedback confidential.

Revisions

Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor may revise these terms at any time without notice. If you continue to use Marzin or this website after changes take effect, you agree to the revised terms.
