Privacy and Terms
Last updated: 18 July 2026
Seryn is the public brand for Seryn Labs, Sole Proprietor, which provides Eyelet and operates this website.
Privacy Policy
Eyelet does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Its menu bar animation, optional reactions, reminders, preferences, and saved looks are processed or stored locally on your Mac.
Pointer motion
Eyelet reads local pointer position and derives pointer speed and heading changes from macOS mouse events. These values point the eyes and can detect shake-like movement. They are used transiently, not stored, and not transmitted.
Optional reaction signals and reminders
If Automatic reactions is enabled, Eyelet reads local battery and charging state plus display sleep or wake notifications. These signals select a local visual reaction and are not stored, transmitted, or shared.
If menu bar reminders are also enabled, Eyelet can present eligible low-battery, wake, power, and shake-like pointer HUDs. It can also read local output volume and mute state when the active device exposes software values to macOS. Some HDMI and DisplayPort devices do not expose those values.
Microphone and camera states are available only as manual Eye Studio previews. Eyelet does not inspect live microphone or camera activity, request recording permission, start a capture session, or record audio or video.
Preferences and Eye Codes
Selected eye style, format, gap, motion settings, pause state, reaction and reminder settings, favorites, Eye Codes, shuffle cadence, snooze expiry, onboarding completion, and related display choices are stored locally in macOS UserDefaults. Eyelet does not sync or transmit them.
An Eye Code contains selected eye appearance and motion preferences. It does not contain pointer motion, system signals, reminder state, account data, or device identifiers.
Launch at Login
macOS manages the login item through Apple's ServiceManagement API after you explicitly change the setting. Eyelet does not install a separate helper or send this setting off device.
Data not collected
Eyelet does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, account data, contact information, precise location, camera footage, microphone audio, photos, files, clipboard contents, or browsing history.
The app has no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK and no Eyelet-owned network service. Its App Store privacy answer is Data Not Collected while the submitted build continues to match this policy.
User-initiated sharing
Copy Code places the current compact Eye Code on the clipboard. Choosing Share opens the macOS sharing picker with the Eye Code and a rendered eye image.
Eyelet does not choose a destination or send those items by itself. The destination you explicitly select may transmit them under that service's terms. Pointer motion, system signals, reminder state, and unrelated preferences are not included.
Retention and deletion
Pointer position, derived speed, and heading changes remain in memory only for live animation and are not retained.
Preferences remain on your Mac until you change or reset them, or delete Eyelet's local preference data through macOS. Changing Launch at Login does not delete preferences.
Support submissions and attachments are retained in Tally for up to 12 months after the most recent support interaction, then deleted from active submissions. Tally keeps deleted submissions in Trash for up to 90 additional days before permanent deletion unless they are removed earlier. To request earlier deletion, choose Privacy or data request in the support form and provide enough information to identify the earlier submission.
Your controls
- Quit Eyelet to stop pointer-following animation.
- Use Presentation pause or a timed quiet mode to stop nonessential motion.
- Turn Automatic reactions off to keep reactions manual, apart from the local shake-like pointer fallback.
- Use HUD snooze for low-battery and audio reminders.
- Reset preferences from Settings when you want a clean visual and behavior state.
- Enable or disable Launch at Login through its explicit setting.
Support form
Choosing Support & Feedback in Eyelet opens an Eyelet form hosted by Tally in your default browser. Eyelet does not append app-surface, app, OS, device, pointer, preference, or diagnostic data to the form URL. On this website, opening the same form loads Tally in an iframe with presentation parameters only.
The form asks for a category, short summary, and goal or context. Importance, email address, manually entered app or macOS versions, reproduction steps, and attachments are optional. All form data is submitted only when you choose to provide it and is handled by Tally and the app owner. Tally may also process ordinary browser and network data under its own privacy notice. Redact private screen content and do not submit passwords, API keys, Apple ID credentials, payment details, or unrelated sensitive data. Use the same form to request deletion of a prior support submission.
Crash and usage data
Eyelet contains no analytics or crash-reporting code. If you opted into sharing analytics and improvements with developers in macOS System Settings, Apple may provide Seryn crash and usage reports in anonymized or aggregated form under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Availability and purchase data
Eyelet is intended for distribution through the Mac App Store. If it is available there, Apple handles checkout, payment processing, taxes, receipts, purchase history, redownloads, and refund decisions. Eyelet does not receive payment card details.
